I used to watch Crossfire years ago (I haven't had my TV on in years), and I recall one episode where someone called the liberal spokesman a child molester, or something like that. The guy was so angry, he demanded an apology, then walked off the set for a bit. I can't remember for sure, but I think Robert Novak was the slimeball who libeled him.

It really made an impression on me.

I saw the interview and all Dean said was that it was some sort of theory he heard/read on the internet, that's it. No-facts Novak doesn't mention that Chris Wallace asked him flat out: "do you believe this theory?" (that bush was foreworned by the Saudis) Dean "No. I don't believe it at all." I think he also mentioned that it couldn't be proved. But No-back says he's spreading the theory. Whatever.

This coming from Novak is by no means infuriating. We are, after all, dealing with the man who was the instrument of an intentional outing of a NOC operative of the CIA. For Novak to accuse Dean of having "loose lips" is somewhat hypocritical. Whereas Dean's single comment can, in the minds of some, lend credence to conspiracy theories (technically it doesn't), Novak's July 14th column may have very well placed in jeapordy the life of a covert operative, as well as the lives of any civilian assets that may have worked in her operations.

Not to worry. The Neo-Conservative Brown Shirts have all but removed Novak as an establishment go-to guy. Remember, he was the seventh person they called with the information on Plame, whereas he and his late parter Rowland Evans were incredibly tight with the Reagan administration. Reagan's Budget Director, David Stockman, went so far as to call Novak and Evans his "bulletin board".

He's laughable! Let it roll off your back! Not worth the energy to get angry over someone like that!

I read recently that No-Class got new dentures, and someone said he looked like Bugs Bunny. Or maybe it was Mr. Wilson after Dennis lost his dentures down the sink.

A couple of months ago Novak was singing Dean's praises. Now it turns out that Dean is Dean. Shocking. Next, Tucker Carlson will suddenly discover the error of his ways in wearing a Dean button, and then -- dare I say it -- Chris Matthews will jump on the bandwagon, as he always does.

Fool me once (McGovern), shame on you. Fool me twice (Mondale), OK, I screwed up. Fool me three times (Dukakis)? Nobody's perfect. Fool me 4 times? I must be a latte sipping middle class liberal looking for someone to channel my anger.


Hey, look on the bright side. First came the commercials, now the whore media are reverting to form, and soon, there might be an election to get crushed in. That means you'll have lots of stuff to seethe and rage over for the next four years. The 2000 non-election, the Iraqi invasion, now this -- helpless anger gets to be a habit for some people.

For Bob "let me sacrifice National Defense for Politcal Reasons" Novak to comment on Dean having "loose lips" is like the Captain of the Titanic complaining about a leaky faucet.

Come on Bob -- Don;t you think you, or whomever leaked "Valerie Plames" name qualify as having looser lips than Dean -- considering you and the unnamed committed treason, and all?

Oh, and by the way, are you ever going to expose the other criminal, or does your career as a "journalist" take precident over your country?
