I'll be revising Jail4Bush in the near future and am also bringing some new websites online. I'll link back to Democratic Underground - just give me a little more time to get it all together.

I'd also like to thank the ISP's that offered to host Jail4Bush after another ISP dumped it, falsely claiming it violates the Patriot Act. I'll relate the entire story and list the good ISP's soon.

The site had been online for many months as part of another website. Some right-wing crank told me he reported me to the Secret Service, and someone else hacked my site. Their main beef was with an image that they misinterpreted (probably deliberately) as a death threat.

Someone did file a complaint with my ISP. I referred my ISP to a chatboard where they like to slime me, and he concurred that they were a bunch of kooks. End of story.

Then I got a new domain name - jail4bush.org - and put the revised site online. It was axed almost immediately. The ISP told me it violated the Patriot Act. I asked them HOW it violates the Patriot Act, and how complained. Of course, they wouldn't share any details. But they said they were at the mercy of their "upstream servers."

I reported the incident on a webhosting chatboard, and several ISP's immediately offered to host it. One later changed backed out, regretfully advising me that his upstream servers are in Florida - Jeb Bush country.

I decided to host it with a guy who apparently specializes in cutting edge political sites. In fact, the webmaster of an anarchist site he hosts was sent to prison about the same time I came on board!

My experience really wasn't that hairy, because my site doesn't violate any laws. But here's the kicker: I was running for public office at that very time, and I believe I was the only candidate in Seattle who made George Bush a campaign issue. The dump-and-run adventure occurred about the same time Bush visited Seattle.

Obviously, this was all newsworthy. Of course, the Seattle media didn't print one word about it, and a Seattle-based anti-Bush website I tried to network with wouldn't even reply. That's because virtually every activist organization in Seattle is an establishment operative. Rather than allow genuine activists to steal the show, they manipulate everything by creating their own activists, who can then lead the public astray and inform on any naive activists who might join their ranks.

Jail4Bush is a bit amateurish - and quite small - at present. I've been working on a major revision, but it's taking a long time. When I'm finished, I'll have anti-Bush information for each of the 50 states.

I hope the website stays put. Obviously, it's all truthful. Keep fighting, and hopefully your voice will be heard! :hi:
