1. Will it be a military tribunal?
If so he will be represented by a military lawyer I imagine.

The crimes of Hussein, being committed against the Iraqi people, make the point that he should be tried in an Iraqi court by his peers.

That is why a fair trial must be conducted at the International Criminal Court as Clark stated on hardball last week and where Clark just happens to be testifying today aganist Milosivich today! Kind of a convient day for the bush admin to get Saddam and bury the Clark/ICC story isn't it?

6. trial? what trial?
there is no way to a trial.
Bushco does not agree to an international court, so Sadam cannot be accused there. And America cannot have it´s own trial on him, because then they had to agree to Genava Convention and to free all the prisoners of Guantanamo.
AND: if Saddam is starting to talk about who helped him in the last 40 years or so... this could be ... erh...difficult.
So, I am really afraid, that Saddam will ...erh...try to escape...and...erh...get shot...or so.

:scared:

8. Iraqi Council has said all along it would be Iraqis trying Saddam.
Iraqi council OKs war crimes tribunal - U.S. administrator must sign off on plan to try Saddam's regime -

Iraq War Crimes Tribunal Planned
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/12/05/iraq/main587125.shtml
BAGHDAD, Iraq, Dec. 5, 2003
The law calls for Iraqi judges to hear cases presented by Iraqi lawyers, with international experts serving only as advisers.
(AP) Iraq's U.S.-appointed government will establish a tribunal for crimes against humanity in the coming days that could try hundreds of officials, including Saddam Hussein and his top aides, Iraqi and American officials told The Associated Press on Friday.

I don't think there's any reason the U.S. would have it otherwise?
