Listen up!! Thank Halliburton for Saddam's "capture"
The seer speaks:

Just stepped out of my deep think. Here is what explains the way Saddam was captured and why there was no resistence.

The US has known where Saddam was for months and had captured him at least a couple of weeks ago...when rumors surfaced that he had been captured but quickly squashed. In capture he was heavily sedated (druged) and kept until such a time that it would serve the administration's purpose...maybe clos to the 2004 election.

Enter the recent scandal about Halliburton overcharging for gasoline, the scuttle about EU not being able to bid for contracts, Halliburton no-bid contracts, etc. These stories were snowballing into a mountain. The latest revelations about the over charging were HUGE and going to get bigger. And Dean was gaining attention with his anti-Bush anti-Iraq-war message. The neocons..lead by Cheney..had to come up with a major event to wipe all of these from the maleable minds of the American people. Only one of two events could do this: capture Osama or capture Saddam. The neocons lose nothing by doing this now instead of closer to the election. Wiping these mounting negative events from the news will virtually ensure another 4 years of the Bush cabal.

Saddam offered no resistence because he was a zombie. The US knew that if he was humiliated instead of myrtered this would give them the leverage they needed to quell the Iraqi risistence. A masterful move.
Just my thinking...but tell me how i am wrong. And tell me the one thing that the neocons have overlooked.

1. the last point you made got my attention
Saddam offered no resistence because he was a zombie. The US knew that if he was humiliated instead of myrtered this would give them the leverage they needed to quell the Iraqi risistence. A masterful move.

Humiliating him would give them more leverage than him going down in a huge gunfight like his sons.

And since he was supposed to be in a hole in the ground with weapons around him, it's curious as to why he didn't use them.

If he was 'resigned' to his fate, like the media says, why wouldn't he shoot back and go out with a bang?

And...he did look like he was drugged up.

with Americans, did they? Too gruesome- or am I only remembering my own reaction?

3. You are correct. But I remember the rumors about his "capture"
several weeks ago. I have maintained all along that we have known where Saddam was (we had him confined to a small area) and when we could get him without killing him I believe that we did, hence the earlier rumors which the press scuttled within a day or two. We've been holding him, I maintain and have drugged him using truth serum. Saddam himself has been the "intelligence" source for capturing so many of his former leadership. Just watch closely the press conferences and listen closely to what is being said. Special ops were involved and deception is a part of that (CIA,Mossad,UK,)etc.
