Saddam's capture doesn't change those facts. Why should it change anyone's opinion about his manifest unfitness for the office? Does the future of our country really depend on such fuzzy thinking?

Getting Hussein out of his powerful perch in (a 8X6 foot hole) does not make our troops or our country any safer. Bush did not go to iraq to fight terror, he went to secure oil fields for cheneyburton. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. The enemy is still alive and kicking because bush does not care about the enemy, nor does his rubes, UNTIL THEY START KILLING AGAIN, then who will be to blame?

3. Well,
apparently you are supposed to ignore all that. Never mind the absence of WMD, the lack of credible evidence that Iraq ever posed an imminent threat to the US, or that this was a war for oil. If his capture can be used against *certain* Dem candidates, then it is a good thing.

9. No, sorry, I didn't read it yet
I'm too angry right now about "other things" -- like, coming on here day after day and reading Democrat-bashing stuff that would be right at home on freerepublic.com. It's like knowing we're going to have to run a close hundred-yard dash next year, but we're spotting the BushCo Slime Machine ten yards and insisting that the Dem run in hiking boots with his shorts around his ankles.

And then, coming on here today and seeing so many people who seem to be willing to capitulate to the corporate fascism if Bush's* popularity polls should take a little bounce.... :wtf:
