Yeah, Dean should be toast now...
... look at the list of things that will be used against him:

(1) He wants to repeal middle-class tax cuts - that alone was enough to get Mondale beat.
(2) He apparently gave Enron some tax breaks when he was Governor of Vermont.
(3) He was anti-war, and now they're going to have this video of Hussein doing the perp walk.
(4) He supported NAFTA, and said he might cut Medicare, which isn't going to make his base too happy.

1. Fortunately, he has not yet been nominated
If this took place in March or April we would really be screwed. There is an alternative candidate that I would like to suggest...

8. Look, if Dean could win...
... I'd support him - but look at these things they can use against him. The fact is, he brings a lot of liabilities, and Clark is just as bad with some of his past statements - I'm a Kucinich man, but I think we're going to have to settle for Gephardt or Kerry.

5. You confuse "Anti War" with "Anti-Iraq Invasion." Big Difference!
I could refute you other statements, but the above will do nicely.

9. Sorry, but not to the American people....
.... a distinction, in the limited mind-set of the public, without a difference.

Dean is not only toast. But burnt toast.

The only one who gains from today's capture and susequent perp walk of the Dictator Sadam will be General Clark. The only man who can battle on the field to which DimSon only pretends.

7. If Dean's toast...the "me too" Democrats are also toast
If this country wants to reward Bush for capturing Saddam, they'll do just that: reward Bush. Luckily, eleven months is an eternity and other issues will come to the fore.

I'm bookmarking all these gloom & doom posts for a future'I told you so' thread.

:)

BFD. they already said they bombed to death when they took down a hotel. This doesn't change a freakin' thing about killing innocent People. It was wrong then and it's Wrong now.

And DEan will be more than fine!

11. The only losers I saw this morning were Kerry, Gep and Rather
I've never seen such a switcheroonie in stands
as Kerry and Gep, facilitated by Rather, who is
now joins the Big Media Whores list. Desperation
was as thick as smog in August.

Rather wants Dems to pack it in now because
Saddam was found? Come on...where are the saner
heads in this room?

.. this is just going to be a rough week, which we'll have to weather. It's still a long way to go to the election.

15. What a horrible thing for you to say about a fellow Democrat.
One who told the truth and took a stand.

23. It wasn't phrased sensitively, but ...
... these are tough points to counter. Let's hope Dean can, if it comes to that.

18. Dean actually put the attack add onto his site
what..why?

at first I taught it was going to be another add attempting to discredit the claims against him..but no it was the attack add in it's entirety..

I tried to watch some of the videos on his site.. but instead it tried to install something and my computer bombed,,

20. I'd have to disagree with that theory.
That's funny, because the first thing I thought was "there goes the Clark campaign". Dean has a strong domestic platform and years of experience as Gov. to back up his platform. The press has been trying to paint Dean as a one issue candidate, but he was the candidate at the last debate who wanted to talk about domestic issues, not Iraq. Dean will be fine. However, Clark's campaign has been based upon Bush's failure in Iraq and he has no experience as an elected official. He hasn't been responsible for creating a domestic agenda. His campaign is the campaign in trouble here. Not that he still isn't a million times better than Bush.
