Saddam, the WMDs and the cynic in me....
OK folks, I've had it. I've had it being lied too. I've had it being
manipulated by the fascist government that currently sits in the WH.
I've had it with the media whores with their pom-poms telling us
when to be afraid and when to cheer.
Its 2003...not 1984!

This whole Saddam thing plays out like some cheesey Tom Clancy
"techno-thriller". I kid you not...you can almost tell how it will
end. Pieces have been dropped here and there...hints that setup
this eventual display of "Saddam".
Let's see if we can pick up the story...after a quick recap of how
this "war on terror" started.

9/11/01...after a spectacular, Hollywood-style "terrorist" attack
on the WTC. Herr Bush, fearless leader, sends his troops over to
Afghanistan to "smoke out" a guy by the name of "Osama Bin Laden".

US forces go in, bomb people that have been already living in the
stone age further back in time... No OBL, although we are told that
this "liberation" was great for women that had to wear this long
blue sheets over their bodies.
We put a crony in power and provide him with former spec ops guys as
his body guards. :eyes: We're still there to this day and the
"war lords" are now "drug lords" pushing heroine into the world's
markets. Thank you CIA, we knew we could count on you.

Then, after a brief pause..."evidence" starts to surface indicating
that Saddam Hussein has possession of so-called "WMDs". BIG issue.
Very scary. We're done for if we don't invade this country and
take him down.
Ignoring all international laws, the lone ranger rides into the
bandit camp and wipes them out. Wow, that was easy...so much for a
"big fight" from the "fourth largest army in the world" (or something
like that...). But...no Saddam...oopsie. Suspense...

Through these periods in time, the American sheeple, are subjected
to "panic attacks". Orange alerts out the wazoo. Yet...the sheeple
remain "terror free" and continue to do their patriotic duty:
consume, consume, consume.
The occupation, sorry...liberation, continues on. Over 450 American
soldiers are killed. But we're not allowed to really dwell on their
memories...nor see their "transport tubes" with the American
flag drapped over it. We're a "strong" nation...we can take it...
let them "Bring it on!".

With a Hilterian vision...swooping down from the skies, our fearless
leader lands on an aircraft carrier, which is only 15 miles off shore,
and declares: Mission Accomplished. Photo bulbs flash...

Time goes on and the neocons want to continue the momentum: the
WMDs are in Syria...did we say Iraq, so sorry...they're in Syria,
ok? They ALMOST pull it off but it has to be paused.

Suspense...

Some bickering back and forth about where those pesky WMDs are
located. The final debate clearly stated that Syria has the hot
potatoe... We'll leave that on the back burner...it'll be used
shortly.

More suspense...questioning the US's occupation...sorry, liberation
of Iraq. US soldiers continue to drop like flies. We are now 11
months away from the next presidential elections here in the US.

Currently:
Saddam is captured a week and a couple of days prior to Xmas.
"Praise the lord," yells Lieberman. Ahem, what is he doing in this
script?
OK, next in line is a repeat cycle for the media whores. They will
cheer this, theorize it, analyze it and talk about it until they
are blue in the face....for about a month...maybe a month and a
half.

Then...blamo! The WMDs are found! Glory be! The US was right! Their
intelligence was right...oh my, the glorious discovery. Saddam was
the key...only HE knew where those WMDs were located...but there's
more...much more. Much more sinister.

Remember Syria earlier on? The speculation by the US and Israeli
"intelligence" sources stating that the WMDs were "transported" over
to Syria. Well...they were right! Saddam says that he sent his best
henchmen and scientists over to Syria with the goodies. (For some
odd reason this smells of a James Bond flick....) Anyways....
media whores jump into gear...theorize...analyze...and eventually,
the conclusion: Syria has to be invaded...there's not other choice.

This should be around Summer 04. A hair short of the presidential
elections but with enough time to maybe eek out a short fight. As
long as they are done by October and the US troops occupy...dangit,
liberate Syria and we have people throwing rocks...dangit...roses
at them and the media whores can lap it up until Novemeber...they're
in great shape.

Now, we can reserve our really big trump card: OBL. We can capture
him if things get really dicey in Syria, thus drawing attention away
from the perilous campaign. If things go well in Syria...then we
can save OBL for a later occasion.

We'll work on the Sequel after Bush gets re-elected. It'll be a much
darker film still...another staged terrorist attack...martial
law...end of all those freedoms for which those "terrorists" hate
us. You know the story...its your worst nightmare. But in the
meantime...enjoy the show! ;)

5. Yes please do....
My rants are usually forgotten, even by me :D
Personally, I believe 2004 will be an extremely busy year for the
corporate media machine...the movie has to stick to the plot. ;)

6. besides being funny
the "funny" thing about your piece is it sounds true, or at least up to todays part (I hope the Syria thing doesn't come true). You summed it up pretty well.
