Similarites to capture of General Noreiga of Panama
Similarites to capture of General Noreiga of Panama and capture of Saddam Hussein

both former US allies
both captured under a Bush admininistration

Anyone know how things are in Panama now? Is there democracy and human rights in Panama?

1. yes, it is a democracy
My visit this summer was brief but I was very impressed by this nation of young, energetic, forward-thinking people. It is a beautiful, modern country with clean drinking water, great roads, and an energetic financial center.

There were some anti-* signs including signs with the s in his name replaced by a dollar sign. However, I was never greeted with any hostility or hatred as a U.S. visitor. They are focused on the future, not on the past.

Just my impression of Panama. I would highly recommend it to anyone, and I hope to return.
