2. Looks like 69% of Americans are very naive
Boy I hate being right all the time. I used to undervalue my own assesment of geo politics but I really feel like an expert since Bush took over. It is a pity that so many people cannot see the obvious.

If anything this will have the effect of opening up the civil war in Iraq that Saddam was so usful in preventing for our elites back when we did bussiness with him.

3. Yes? Why would anyone think that.
Iraq is a country that was made up by the British. It will be next to impossible to bring stabilty. Or am I just nuts?

14. let them fantasize...
time will show them wrong. After all, from what we are hearing, Saddam wasn't involved in any of the attacks anyway, he was just chilling in a hidey-hole...

I don't buy the nonsense that Iraqis were killing Americans because they were afraid of Saddam

10. Well, if it doesn't (which I believe), SOME of those 69% will realize they
were wrong at some point. The next couple of months will be crucial
either way.

12. I voted "yes"
I think the key word is "help"... To think it wouldn't help is being rather cynical. A good percentage of the people of Iraq lived in terror of this guy's rule and worried that when we turned over power to Iraq next summer, Saddam would later re-emerge. Obviously Iraq won't be stable anytime soon, but it is a help in that direction.

18. Voted no.
Although I've been wrong in my predictions before, I think that this may draw people into support for resistance who were holding back before due to fear that Saddam might come back. I think the majority of Americans just want to believe that things will get better.
