Who is the next boogeyman? Syria? Lebanon? Iran? NK?
There's a year until the general election, and Bush is not going to run on job growth. The occupation of Iraq leaves our soldiers as sitting ducks, and a few deaths every day during election season is not going to win many votes.

They started with Iraq right before the 2002 elections, terrorizing Americans with lies about chemical weapons and mass plagues. They are going to need a "threat" to scare Americans into voting Republican. Will they invade the next country on the list? Another terrorist attack? Are they really going to run on trite soundbites like "finish the job in Iraq"?

3. I've hard WMD rumors about Syria since day one
"Saddam sent his WMD to hide in Syria" - no, I've read it all over. Syria should be easy too.

15. Wolfowitz hints at the master plan
From his 'Determination and Findings' 12/6:

"Limiting competition for prime contracts will encourage the expansion of international cooperation in Iraq and in future efforts."

Sharon would be tickled pink if we occupied Syria.

7. Hopefully?
You want to send even more of our men and women to die in an invasion of yet another country for which we have no evidence that it is an imminent threat to the US? Hopefully?!!! Wow. Maybe I'm just missing the sarcasm?

8. I figure we'll invade Syria while Israel takes Lebanon
A coordinated effort would take care of the entire area in just a few months. I guess you could call this Bush's Middle East "Peace Process".

19. I think the plan is..
get Iraq's oil going, then release the records implicating Saudi Arabia in 9/11. After we have Iraq producing oil to last the world through our attack on Saudi Arabia, we can then invade there and get complete control of their oil.

20. we'll invade Saudi Arabia over 911
what a disaster that would be, there would be suicide bombings in every major US city. You're probably right, unfortunately.
