After the news today, our only hope is to elect Carol Moseley Braun.
After what we have witnessed today and even before the Bush administration, is there any doubt that the males only sign upon the White House must be removed?

I watch and am sickened at what they have done to a country and a world when so much could have been used to help those less fortunate. And to some, this mess we live in is a signal just to remove one white man and replace it with another white man....how about lets just remove the men?!

Carol M. Braun has been treated unfairly by a male dominated media. She can't even get equal time on the networks and websites that are given to her competitors in the democratic primaries. Why should that be? It is as if no one wants anyone to know she exists, that she has a message, a message of freedom, hope, and equal treatment.

Or is that the problem? Her message is the problem.

We need someone like Carol to end this chest thumping male bravado madness that has swept our country, that has made the UN inept, that has other countries against us, suspicious of us, or fearing us. A new totally different leader for this country is what we need, a leader with a new approach, a leader the world can work with...that person is Carol Moseley Braun.

1. I Voted for Carol!
Twice, for the Senate from Illinois.

Carol has total class, and I'm glad she's running, even though she's not my first choice for President.

8. Why would you not vote for Braun after what you just said.
you mentioned she has class and you voted for her before...what does Dean have that she doesn't?

Dean may have more fan base and momentum but look at what the male dominated media has given him for air time. CMB hasn't received that, but if we support her now she will. THen Bush will be in trouble.

18. "What does Dean have that she doesn't?"
Tops on the list: a kick-ass campaign.

And welcome to DU, Topper_Halo! :hi: It's nice to have so many new DUers as the campaign season gets into full swing.

19. But that assumes
that the human qualities Carol Mosely Braun has are determined by the fact that she is a black woman. I don't know that anyone wants to start re-thinking notions that skin color and gender help to pre-suppose anything.

CMB decided to listen to her mind, heart and conscience, no differently than any other person who shares her views. Let's make it more about who people have chosen to be than what characteristics they were born with. There is empathy in everyone; some of us just choose to use it.

2. I like Braun
but you're living in a fantasy world if you think she's going to win the nomination, much less win in the general election.

they're the problem. If we had a country ran by women, there'd be no war, poverty, crime, or discrimination. :eyes:

5. I trust Carol to keep us out of war more than I do many others
That's for damned sure. To think that some Democrats are sitting idly by while the Corporate Media tries to silence her - a perfect example is Ted Coppal constantly interrupting her in the middle of a sentence - is sad.

Go CMB!

12. Yes, I have noticed it.
When I first came to DU, I didn't stay long because of it...but now, when I see the state of our country, I know we need CMB to lead us out of this mess, and one way to activate the grassroots is to return here in order to ignite the grassroots.

VOTE FOR CMB

11. I'd love to see Carol on the ticket as VP
or in a cabinet post. I'd vote for her for President, but I don't think she'd win. Can you imagine - the first woman president is also black? That would be something.

15. Arguing that women are superior to men
is really really silly. Women in the same positions as men tend to act pretty much the same as men. There are gender differences sure, but there are differences between all the candidates in various ways. If youd like to present how exactly being female makes her a better choice, shoot. It always saddens me to see people who clearly believe in equal rights furthering the concept that Men and Women are inherently very different and should be held out as two seperate classes of people, and that is exactly what you are doing.
