Oops! Sen. John Warner just outed Wolf Blitzer...
I was not paying full attention, but I think Warner thanked Wolf Blitzer for doing his part for the Bush war. He also said "I see a twinkle in your eye I haven't seen in a while," and thanked him for his efforts.

4. Wolf's hilarious.
He'd be better off hosting a current events program or an infomercial than acting (keyword: acting) as an actual "reporter". What a goofball, my goodness.

5. What Wolf *Should* Have Said
That is, if he had any standing to say so...

"Thank you, Senator, but my job is simply to report the news. If I do have a twinkle in my eye, as you say, I need to do a better job."

Amazing how laughable that sounds now given Wolf's clowning. He's a TV celebrity with a stage name, isn't he? Why would any self-respecting news organization hire somebody with a stage name?

Or at least a riddle. :-)

On edit: Let me add that Wolf's parents, Butch and Kitty, have a sense of humor.

7. t'other Day He Totally Dissed an Anti-Iraq-Attack Guest
After going through the illegality, the broken international relations, she said something about a poll of Iraqis where 60 something % were against the occupation. Wolf stopped her dead and said, at first timidly, "Oh, polls of Iraqis at this point..." mumbling about these being "unreliable," but then he stiffened his courage when he realized he was safe with the Mal-Admin line and became DEFINITE, saying, "I would just THROW THOSE POLLS OUT." 'course, he hasn't questioned the polls of Iraqis that wingnuts use, and a day later he was quoting CNN's own "online" poll, adding that it was "unscientific, but still..."

He and Judy WOODRUFF are just the truly stereotypical "tired Libs," who took a whupping for being the CLINTON News Network and bend over backwards to avoid more whupping.

20. Exactly. "Tired" is a perfect description for Wolf and Woodruff
They are like mummies, no spirit, no laughter, no joy...

There is no fight in them anymore...no questing, no soul...

Judy Woodruff strikes me as a tragic figure.

13. Just another "Mission Accomplished" moment
Report back with Wolfie's reaction when the next terror strike hits. Our military has kicked in one too many doors for the attacks to go away just like that. Lower defenses, and they will come.

16. I agree with you..........
people keep saying that we haven't had another attack since bush went after Saddam so it must be working. I say, they are fools. Al Queda works on it's own timetable and will strike when we least expect it. Has nothing to do with bush or anything he's done. But I also hear people say that another attack will only make bush stronger. Go figure!

19. Bingo.
A touchdown (cheered by those steeped in RW propaganda) in a game that has no end, but will be a continuing bloodbath, and will end with an Osama-friendly Shiite cleric ruling Iraq with Sharia law.

The RWers will wish Saddam was back in power within 4 years. I will make a substantial bet on that.

17.  Can he top CNN's Carol Lin? "Democrats were hoping that events would go
south as far as success in Iraq was concerned". Lin said that today while reporting on Saddam's capture. Her co-anchor just sat there and did nothing to tone down her irresponsible "journalism".

24. Blitzer's bio reveals a lot about his vantage point
He began his career in 1972 with the Reuters News Agency in Tel Aviv. Shortly thereafter, he became a Washington, D.C., correspondent for The Jerusalem Post. After more than 15 years of reporting from the nation's capital, Blitzer joined CNN in 1990 as the network's military-affairs correspondent at the Pentagon.
