Show me the money! Blitzer reveals reason for today's show capture.
He asked Samuel Berger how he thought the capture would affect the BFEE mission to get Russia, France and Germany to forgive the Iraqi debt. That's the plan fellas and gals. They think it will force them to go along. I, for one, very much doubt it will succeed.

6. capturing Saddam does so many things... fights tooth decay
puts a spring in your step

forgives Iraqi debt

makes Osama cry for forgiveness

makes the Dem party dissolve

makes Bush a superman with a huge penis

makes Wolf B giggle like a schoolgirl

they are going to sell this capture as the cure for whatever they can think of. Basically anything a Dem can use against Bush, will be solved today...

the dumbasses

2. I agree
And the fact that this will fail wil be painfully clear soon... now
Wolfowitz is getting a temporary reprieve, which will last as long as the next spectacular attack in Iraq.

Hey to the credit of the chickenhawk in chief, he did warn us the sheeple that violence will not go down... for once he said something intelligent.

But watch the propaganda, it will be fun to warch

4. What has that to do with Saddam's capture?
Zilch.

It does, however, give the nations leverage to set terms about the treatment and trial of the deposed head of state.

The problem is precedent. If an outraged China invades the United States, does it have the right to put George on trial for HIS crimes? If George invades France, can he try Chirac?

George is incapable of analogy or extrapolation. But the people Baker is visiting are.

Merry Christmas, retailers!

Planned? Nah. Lucky!

I don't think this is going to do much of anything for the debt forgiveness. Anyone with a crumb of sense is waiting to see how things develop, so what we'll probably see here is a bit of a Christmas lull as things develop on the ground.

7. I agree. It will not help a bit. But it's the way these idiots think.
I'm actually looking forward to the French, Germans and Russians telling Baker to take his "offer" and shove it. Of course the BFEE will propagandize that against them, because that's what they always do. In the meantime, violence will escalate exponentially in Iraq. Propaganda will fly about how it's all Baathists who are being routed out as we speak. "Insurgents" will be killed (along with GOK how many civilians) and sent to Gitmo. And the BFEE spin machine will try to insist that the war is nearly over. The problem is that they never account for the real actions and real motives of real people ... so the guerilla attacks will increase over the next month or so.

8. I am upset
at that business with Sen. Warner praising and thanking Blitzer on camera for helping push Bush's agenda. We all know he does that daily, but this is the first time it is out there for all to know. Do you think it will get any reaction from other news outlets?
