What happened to my avatar?
I used to have a nice, shiny Dean avatar, which is there no more. I notice that no one else has one either.

How can I expect to have my threads flamed if people don't know which candidate I support?

2. But... but...
Now I have to come out and say I support Dean in EVERY POST if I expect people to call me a cult member. What fun is that?

with the associated warfare.

13. Due to Rush and the freepers
The servers are working overtime from all the rabid right winger visitors. Avatars were turned off to give the servers a break and will be turned back on as soon as the new Rush lurkers give up and go away.

14. I like it this way.
Without pictures of people's pets, favorite sports stars/teams, crushes, etc. that take-up most of the screen with every post.
The wheel of my mouse is wearing out scrolling past all the crap that doesn't mean a thing to anyone else.

Plus the dialup people get discouraged with DU waiting for the page to load because of all the sig line graphics. I know, I have to use dialup avery now and again when I am not home.

I am on a dial-up
and turned off the signature lines in my profile options the very first day I signed on to DU. What a relief.
