Did anyone hear Brokaw on NBC News tonight say that Saddam
was connected to 911 and that there was link to 911 and training in Iraq????

Mike Malloy just read a comment to this effect on the show... and he sighed and said this is why the American people will NEVER NEVER NEVER etc. know the truth...

Did Brokaw really say this?? If so, we should email him to death....

1. I didn't see it but if Malloy heard then...
When we verify it I will add my e-mail to the "truth seekers".

2. Any network that employs Frank Luntz is BFEE controlled.
NBC has been putrid for years now. You only hear what THEY want you to hear.

5. Isn't That the Sad Truth?
I remember in 1992 when Presidential Candidate Jerry Brown began to give out his then-groundbreaking 800 number during Tom Brokaw's "debate", that Brokaw went crazy telling Brown to essentially shut up.

Well, Brown would not be intimidated and said something along the lines of 'I will not let your corporate bosses at General Electric silence free speech, Tom".

Frank Lutz and General Electric TV.

3. This is based on unsubstantiated...
... documents provided by Iraqis right around the time of Hussein's capture. To my knowledge, the story surfaced in the Sydney Herald and got picked up by wire services. At this time, the documents have not been vetted by any intelligence services, and the one most advertised is claimed to have been written by one of Hussein's deputies, and in the same document, congratulates Mohammed Atta for his help and for al-Queda's help in arranging yellowcake transfers from Niger.

It's far too convenient that one document kills two bones of contention--that Iraq was linked to seeking nuclear weapons fuel, and that Iraq and al-Queda were in league together.

On close examination, these will turn out to be a forgeries, as well, and will probably narrow down the possibilities of what group provided the forged Niger documents: Chalabi and the INC. They've been proven to be liars, and it's also been proven that Libby, Feith, Bolton, Cheney and Co. are still listening to their lies. That's why a document like this shows up so soon after Feith has had his nose rubbed in it by his own Defense Dept. It's now quite likely come down to saving face for this scurrilous bunch.

Cheers.

11. It's the Iraqi National Congress back at work.
Isn't there a limit on the number of times an organization can be discredited before people stop reporting on what they say or "present?" The INC has surely passed it long ago.

Terrorist behind September 11 strike was trained by Saddam
By Con Coughlin
(Filed: 14/12/2003)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2003/12/14/wterr14.xml&sSheet=/portal/2003/12/14/ixportaltop.html

Iraq's coalition government claims that it has uncovered documentary proof that Mohammed Atta, the al-Qaeda mastermind of the September 11 attacks against the US, was trained in Baghdad by Abu Nidal, the notorious Palestinian terrorist.

Details of Atta's visit to the Iraqi capital in the summer of 2001, just weeks before he launched the most devastating terrorist attack in US history, are contained in a top secret memo written to Saddam Hussein, the then Iraqi president, by Tahir Jalil Habbush al-Tikriti, the former head of the Iraqi Intelligence Service.

The handwritten memo, a copy of which has been obtained exclusively by the Telegraph, is dated July 1, 2001 and provides a short resume of a three-day "work programme" Atta had undertaken at Abu Nidal's base in Baghdad.

In the memo, Habbush reports that Atta "displayed extraordinary effort" and demonstrated his ability to lead the team that would be "responsible for attacking the targets that we have agreed to destroy".
