Anybody think Dean's speech this AM totally rocked??
He truly has a grasp on foreign policy and he came across as a leader. Especially in the Q&A sessions. I think when Dean is elected, he will go back to the policy of actually GIVING PRESS CONFERENCES. Dean has the ability to make foreign policy a strength. He is tenacious like that; he has a good team around him also.

1. heck yeah it did...
...it was an excellent speech, I read it this AM before watching it. And exactly what I like seeing from this campaign, the opposition attacks, and Dean responds with a positive message looking forward. When we run against Bush, we'll be campaigning against fear and division, and we'll be doing so quite well...

8. Excellent Speech!
Watched for a bit on MSNBC over my lunch hour, I thought it was great. Pat Buchanan was very complimentary and thought he did a good job. What's that all about? Pat Buchanan complimenting Dean's speech?

4. I think he always starts off a bit flustered
It will eventually wear off the more he does these things. Remember this guy wasn't even on the radar a year ago. He's come out of nowhere to be thrust into the national spotlight. I think he's responded well.

5. Loved every minute
He has been to something like 30 countries and they are trying to paint him as someone that knows nothing of foreign policy, WTF! Bu$h had been to Mexico before he became pResident. You'd think that with all that money Bu$h could have traveled a little bit more, I know I would. He said everything that needed to be said and it was very presidential and well written (he wrote the speech himself BTW). I want him to be president now!

9. His speech was great and on point
the mere fact that Lieberman and Kerry denounced it showed that it must've made them feel very uncomfortable.

10. No, I was not impressed.
Everyone knows Dean made the flubub previously of stating that he wasn't so sure it was a good thing that Saddam was removed from power (when a TV person asked him if that wasn't at least a good thing about the Iraq War). A difficult statement to overcome. Dean should've kept a lower profile on the day of Saddam's capture, in view of his prior statement.

I see a commercial in the future comparing Dean's prior statement with a flash-forward to his statements on the day of Saddam's capture, showing a flip flop. It won't look good.

But I'm a Clark supporter, so I don't know how objection my viewpoint is. But then, Deaniacs aren't being objective about their leader, either. And of course the majority of American voters aren't Deaniacs, so I think they may view it as Bush's day and a day for the Dems to keep quiet. We'll see, I guess.
