Bush's Press Conference--- OMG
Rarely does Chimpy give a Press Conference. So rarely do I see one.
I could not believe what I saw last night. And I am not talking out of a partisan Democratic point of view. This man is really stupid.
Without the use of a script he genuinely is a complete idiot. Babbling, uh, uh, uh, etc.... Unfortunately the American public NEVER sees the real GWB. I think if ONE unscripted press conference were to be televised on a major channel in prime time, this is all it would take to make people wake up and say "hold on here, who the hell is running our country?"

It actually made me feel good to watch this guy fumble because I pictured him up against ANY of the Dems and as long as the debate questions are unscripted, he will get demolished!!!

4. I take it you dislike the Vice=President quite a lot
Otherwise why the dig when you know Al is not running against Bush*. It is just more criticism of loyal Democrats by (who are you anyway?) What purpose does your post provide us. More division and hatred.

2. I posted yesterday
that I had heard part of the press conference on the radio, and was shocked. It sounded like he had been over-medicated or something, and I'm not kidding! I wish I had seen the entire thing on tv, not just snippets on the evening news. I really wanted to see how the visual matched up with what I had heard.

I think you're right, show that to the American Public, up against a press conference of ANY of the Dem Candidates (preferably Clark, of course!) and if we didn't win by a landslide, I'd move to Canada!

I'm not sure that we'll get a debate format open enough to expose bush for what a bumbling idiot he is. Will he get the questions up front, so his responses can be scripted? Will his opponent (Clark, of course) be able to ask him questions and challenge him? I say let's have a debate with no moderator. Just the two guys (sorry Carol) in a room with cameras. Let them go at it.

3. debate...
Lately I've begun to worry about the debates, though. I've assumed that whichever Dem wins, they'll eat Bush alive in the debate. But Rove et al. know this, too, and they'll stop at nothing to mess up the tradition of holding debates. I'm sure they'll still happen, but somehow things will be orchestrated so the debates become a mockery of the election process. It'll be some stupid format, or biased moderators, something that will make everything harder, and obscure the real differences between the candidates.

7. Debates
It will be like Arnold's debate in California where everybody got the questions ahead of time.

6. No, the press will 'pre-forgive' him.
In 2000, the press talked endlessly before the first debate about how shitty of a debater Bush was, basically setting the stage so that if Bush didn't drop his pants and jack off on live national TV, it would be a moral victory for Bush.

Bush showed up, bumbled along like the idiot he is, and the press declared it a major victory cause he screwed up less than expected.
