In the Bible, it was the Levites, the Earliest of of the collection. From Leviticus, etc, these guys domineered the rest of the Tribes and if we read the Book, we are astounded to see aggression and genocide conducted in an organized scale with religion used as the motivating reason.

It didn't start out that way but the shift really became noticeable about 25 years ago with maximum movement the last 4 years.
