9/11 Was Preventable! ( breaking news....)
Breaking News!

http://tvnewslies.org/html/news.html#911NEWS

9/11 Chair: Attack Was Preventable - For the first time, the chairman of the independent commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks is saying publicly that 9/11 could have and should have been prevented, reports CBS News Correspondent Randall Pinkston. - "As you read the report, you're going to have a pretty clear idea what wasn't done and what should have been done," he said. "This was not something that had to happen." - "How is it possible we have a national security advisor coming out and saying we had no idea they could use planes as weapons when we had FBI records from 1991 stating that this is a possibility,"

But he was politely ignored by the Repugs! They were too busy enjoying the master scam they pulled on the voters and bungling the whole China affair.

Halliburton's stealing of 61 million just wasn't a big enough scandal to warrant bringing Saddam out of his rathole.

But this is DEFINITELY.

35. yeah it is
They may have Osama stashed away somewhere and whip him out closer to election time. I read somewhere that like a third of Europeans think Bush rigged 9/11. I thought he just hijacked it.

What will really get you scratching your head is: If Gore was president, would 9/11 have happened?

It's all the civilians and military that have died in Iraq since. It's all the loss of arms and legs...ruined lives of military and civilians. The loss of the office of the UN and a key figure. It's all the money that is going into this so-called "war on terrorism"...money that could be better spent on medicine to treat AIDS in Africa. The list goes on and on and doesn't stop.

29. It would probably have to go to the courts....
United States v. Nixon, 418 U.S., affirmed the President's rights to executive privilege, and the president's advisor to the NSC (in this administration, Rice) falls under that executive privilege.

Congress or the 9/11 commission could subpoena her, but I doubt she would appear. The White House would simply assert executive privilege and refuse. At that point, I doubt that it would be resolved quickly, and would likely end up in the Supreme Court. BTW, the assistant attorney general who wrote the Justice Dept.'s opinion on the president's right to executive privilege (in that case, on Richard Nixon's behalf) was William Rehnquist....

Cheers.

Our regime and their adoring media whores will try and bury this one too, just like all their other crimes. I've become so jaded I'll jump for joy when they are led out of their positions of power in handcuffs, only then. Sorry to be a killjoy, just been let down SO many times seein them get away with things that would have gotten a Democrat impeached and imprisoned (or worse) over and over and over.

It was presented to the Bush White House at the end of January of 2001, prior to 9-11. Gary Hart has stated in interviews subsequent to 9-11 that it wasn't even looked at by anyone in Bush's cabinet. Intelligence leading up to the possibility of an attack on American soil is in this report and means of preventing such an attack.

I don't think CBS is as bad as the rest of the Corporate Media. I don't have any empirical evidence of that, just a feeling from watching the news. Faux is Far Right, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC are Right, ABC and NBC are Center-Right while CBS is slightly Center-Right.

Not only was no one demoted. Bush told us all that we as a nation should be lucky to have the service of Condoleezza Rice. I have always believed in my heart of hearts that 9/11 would not have happened with such devastating consequences under a Gore administration. BTW, I saw Gary Hart sitting on a panel on C-Span and he also expressed amazement that no one from this administration was held accountable. The Bushies knew. Bob Graham knows their hands have blood on them. You know he is bursting at the seams to tell what he knows. May it all come out into the open.

63. Don't Write Your Congressman
He is part of the problem.

Write your daily newspapers and local television stations. Print out the story...a ream of 500 sheets will only cost $3-4...and plaster them all over the grocery store and mall.

This is already being ignored by the mainstream. Nothing on the morning news. It is time to stop this shit. This is the type of stuff that may just offer us a chance to finally nudge America to that tipping point.

Bush Names Thomas Kean to Head September 11 Investigation

Date:  December 16, 2002

President Bush named former New Jersey Governor Thomas H. Kean to replace Henry Kissinger as Chairman of the National Commission to investigate the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Following is the text of the White House announcement:

STATEMENT BY THE PRESIDENT

I am pleased to announce that Thomas H. Kean, former governor of New Jersey and President of Drew University in New Jersey, will serve as Chairman of the National Commission to investigate the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and the events that led up to it.

Tom Kean is a leader respected for his integrity, fairness, and good judgment. I am confident he will work to make the Commission's investigation thorough. It is important that we uncover every detail and learn every lesson of September 11th.

Governor Kean served on the Advisory Board to the President's Initiative on Race from 1997 to 1998, served as Vice Chairman of the U.S. Delegation to the Fourth U.N. World Conference on Women in 1995, and led the U.S. Delegation to the World Conference on Education for All in Thailand in 1990.

------

- Let the Bushie Republicans spin THIS.

65. Media Totally Ignored this entire story!!!
After TVNL scooped this....Drudge, CLG News, Buzzflash.... all of the alternative news sites had this story as their lead headline. Not a word anywhere else. The lapdog media strikes out again. Pun intended.
Where is the outrage?

66. Hahaha....don't you 'get' it?
- This story will go nowhere. Why? For the same reasons the many other scandals went nowhere...the free press wants another four years of corporate Bush*.

78. You could ask the same questions...
...about why the facts surrounding 9-11 have NEVER been reported or why Bush's* lies that pushed this nation into war were ignored.

- The one thing you can do to help is to come to the understanding that the media is a subsidiary of the corporations who want Bush* to stay in office.

72. Maybe now...
"How is it possible we have a national security advisor coming out and saying we had no idea they could use planes as weapons when we had FBI records from 1991 stating that this is a possibility..."

... the American people will begin to see what the "bring 'em on" attitude gets us.

76. Geez...
thousands of deaths could have prevented, but weren't. I had an idea before that 9/11 could have been prevented. Who knows...if 9/11 could have been prevented, maybe Iraq could have been prevented as well.

This makes me sad to read because we have a leader who could care less about the people he's leading.

I really hope this story makes it to all the major news markets and hopefully people will realize how much of an asshole, uncaring, hateful son-of-a-bitch Bush really is.
