Why they will always hate us.
The 47-year-old businessman says he, his wife, and their six children, ages 18 months to 13 years, were forced to take cover in a ground floor bedroom at the back of the house.

"We lay on the floor as bullets went through the walls," he says. "It was terrifying. They have no manners. They are invaders, bad people."

1. Yeah
I don't think we're making any friends over there in Iraq.

2. Saw something like this on the news.
Going after insurgents in Samarra at night. First three houses were the wrong addresses, but it didn't matter as their doors were blown up. (Oops. Gotta move. Isn't safe with the door open anymore.) One of the houses caught on fire. Women and children terrified.

3. Who is "us"?
Many Muslims lump the entire "West" into one group. I wonder why...

4. Put ourselves in their place
Think what we'd feel or do if an invading army stormed through our homes, killed our kids, and generally wrecked havoc with every thing we hold dear? America has invaded Iraq under false pretenses and made a complete mess of the country. How can they possibly ever respect not to mention ever "like " us? The British half of my family--very elderly members--who lived through world war II still cannot forgive the Germans. The other half that experienced the Japanese invasion of China and S.E. Asia hated the Japanese till their dying days long after the war ended. Believe me Iraqis too will hate Americans much longer than whatever they hated about Sadam Hussein after what we've done to them.

how do they know who is shooting ?

I don't doubt it but just because you read it in print does not mean its true. Ask Jayson Blair.
