9/11 Chair: Attack Was Preventable.....
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/12/17/eveningnews/main589137.shtml

Story slips in under the "WE GOT SADDAM" radar, not even listed on ABCNEWS.com, CNN.com, MSNBC.com, it's not even the lead story on CBSNews.com playing second fiddle to John Hinckley.

3. I'm all over the place tonight trying to see who else will pick it up.
So far, the only other place I see it is the Newark Star Ledger in NJ.

Here's the link, but I didn't find any new information in it:

http://www.nj.com/news/ledger/firstglance/index.ssf?/base/news-0/1071713439221040.xml

I'm an insomniac so this is probably how I'll spend the next several hours. I'll post the stories as I find them. Here's hoping I have a lot to post! :toast:

21. I saw the story on the international news channel
on my cable system. I think the initials are INN. It was either the channel's international news or Canadian news, not sure which. They had a CBS reporter give the story.

Isn't it funny that news from another country can pick it up, but not American news?

5. Unreal.......

This story should be breaking news on every news channel in America, and yet
it is barely even mentioned anywhere.

7. Did anyone notice...
That the chair, a republican, didn't spin the accusation and blame Clinton?
Neither did CBS when they reported it.
I didn't see the broadcast on air, though. Anyone else see it?
Did they try to bring Clinton into this?

9. Repubs are calling for Tenet's head again.
Edited on Thu Dec-18-03 12:00 AM by BurtWorm
But Kean didn't say it was just Tenet (or even if he meant Tenet) who's head should roll. In fact he said "There are people that, if I was doing the job, would certainly not be in the position they were in at that time because they failed. They simply failed," Kean said.

Who could he mean, Condoleeza?

14. All Tenet could do was deliver the information.
It was this administration who had the responsibility to react to it.

Kean is tainted with his ME oil deals with bin Mahfouz...I'm sure that's why he was selected. Mutually blackmail?

So why is he making an extreme public case against Bush????? Are the moderate Republicans finally starting to "get it"?

According to the story, there will be public testimony next month. I would expect that is when the shit is going to hit the fan.
