1. It would accomplish absolutely nothing.
I would support a COMPLETE investigation into the BFEE-Saudi-911 connection.

20. Amen, Fabius, but it won't happen with the Nazi Party in charge

That's why we need to nominate and back someone who will give the GOP Congress the enema it so richly deserves!

2. I would support scrapping the idea of preemption entirely.
It should not be a front-burner option, to say the very least. But as for bombing Saudi Arabia, what would the target be?

4. Ok, what is the fucking point here?

christ almighty, the level of ignorance and stupidity just boggles my mind.

MAYBE IF WE STOPPED BOMBING PEOPLE, WE WOULDN'T HAVE TERRORISM????

7. When did the USA ever bomb Saudi Arabia?
Yet they still hate the USA and are the number one cog in the Al-Qaeda terror machine.

9. So what are you going to aim for to "pre-empt" an attack?
Mecca? That would demoralize the piss out of them! :eyes:

10. I didn't say SA needed be attacked
We need to destroy their economy if they fail to stop exporting terrorism and hate. That can be done by severing economic ties with them. Of course, that would require some sacrifice on the part of Americans.

15. It's much more complicated than that.
The Saudi government is in serious danger of sustaining a revolution against it. Destroying the Saudi economy would very likely bring that revolution to fruition. What would the result of it be? A Wahaabist Islamic state--i.e., even more Wahaabist and Islamic than it is now, but without worldly wise royals in charge to keep anti-Americanism on a short leash? Is that what we want in Riyadh?

16. "We need to destroy..."
Of course, that would require some sacrifice on the part of Americans.

Export terrorism and hate? Why don't we start at home first? Who put the Shah in power in Iran? Who put the Baathist in power in Iraq? Who trains Latin American death squads at Fort Benning? Who helped the Islamists in Afghanistan against the Afghan Marxist government? Who created bin Laden, Noriega, Saddam?

It is time that America stops destroying. The life expectancy of empires has always been short, and has always ended in blood.

12. Some Saudis perhaps
But with the blessing of the House of Saud?

I'll have to see evidence on that. And even if you could produce any, we still have lots of options before bombing.

In addition, you'll have to show me one example where bombing has been effective in stopping terrorism.

Terrorism cannot be squashed with military might. Don't you understand that's what daily events in Afghanistan and Iraq prove?

18. Uh..
Maybe you should attempt to educate yourself before you go spouting off about how we need to bomb a country.

Nobody in the middle east gave a rat's ass about what we do until the '50s when we started fucking with their region. They hate us because everything we do is antithetical to what we are supposed to believe in. We prop up dictators and support genocide, then we are suprised to find out that the ethnic group that we are exploiting hates us?

get a clue. read a book.

21. So why do they hate "the Jews" and "the Christians"?
When did "the Christians" and "the Jews" attack Saudi Arabia?

6. I support the preemptive bombing of the School for the Americas
A rats' nets of terrorists if there ever was one!

We should bury the "preemption" doctrine in the same spider hole in which all of the war criminals of the Bush regime should be buried.

11. Bombing of Saudi Arabia would likely hit Mecca & Medina. And then.....
all fucking Hell really would break loose. Osama Bin Laden would be proven right in the eyes of 1.3 billion Muslims if "the Great Satan" took out the 2 holiest places in Muslim tradition.

Now on the other hand, if they want to arrest the Saudi Royal family and the rest of the Bin Laden clan for their involvement in terrorism, I could get behind that idea. If it was someone other than PNAC making the arrests. After all, you don't send the KKK in to bust up a Nazi skinhead rally.

13. Hell No......... It would be another scam.
A scam to start another monumental rebuilding effort that would serve to line the pockets of Halliburton and Bechtel by way of the BFEE.

17. How about we bomb the oil fields ?
That would accelerate the transition to a post-petroleum economy. Think of all the free time we'd have with no cars or jobs.
