I guess I did hear about some warnings in Italy...

You would think that the capture of a supposedly "major terrorist" figure would make them heighten the alert level... if nothing else, because of "revenge" attacks. Heck, we had hightened alert on the anniversary of 9/11 just because of the date, shouldn't this at least rank up with that?

2. They've stopped having alerts regularly because the extra

money/work for the states has become too expensive. Only if there is a strong indication of immediate attack will the alarm level go up.
