FYI: The General Discussion rules have changed slightly.
We have re-written the GD rules to make the following changes:

1. The GD rules have been re-written to make them somewhat more clear.
2. Profanity is now allowed in the text of a message, but not permitted in the subject.
3. The two-forum split has been written into the rules.

21. This Forum is run far better than it's alter ego, FreeRepublic.com
I must say that the administration here at DU is orders of magnitude better than that at FR. You guys make the FR dictator Rim Job look like a pathetic fool with respect to fairness, effort, openmindednes, and just about every other characteristic desirable in a forum administrator.

If a Democrat beats Bush in 2004, it will be in some part due to this forum, I suspect.
