Jose Padilla case: a win for the Constitution
At least the courts seem to think we still have one.

I'm looking forward to the Goose Creek and Guataunemo Bay cases. Score one for the Constitution.

1. Yes, I will say this, in spite of the Federalist Society Front Group
The judiciary has been the most resistant to the breakdown of Law fostered by the Busheviks.

But how much more pounding, stacking, and purging can the overall institution take before it becomes as much of a Bushevik Rubber Stamp filled with handpicked Imperials and quivering cowards as has happened with much of the Imperial Senate.

2. Bush and company handled this incorrectly...
And now our security could suffer as a result. You really need to do this sort of stuff the right way. I personally don't like seeing this guy set free...but if he's being held without proper charges then they're going to have to set him free.

Gotta work within the framework of the constitution. Personally, I don't see why we didn't declare war, if this be a War on Terrorism.

:(

5. They don't have to set him free...

they simply have to charge him, provide him with a lawyer, and try him in a civilian court, which IMNSHO is as it should be.   Of course I expect the administration to appeal this to the Supreme Court.

As for declaring war, declare war on whom?

6. sigh
its a shame jiacinto isn't here to moan about how we have more sympathy for the terrorists than their victims, and then to subsequently ignore the cries of "its not the terrorists we care about, its the LAW!"
