Bush WILL pull OBL out of his bag of tricks.
Edited on Thu Dec-18-03 05:49 PM by Atman
We can't delude ourselves into thinking otherwise. If we believe most of the rhetoric we lay out to each other on these boards, we might as well consider it a done deal that OBL will be trotted out at the most opportune moment for The Bushista Campaign. The question is, have we prepared our Plan B? Like, is that when we finally going to start calling him on the carpet about the lies? If you answered yes, you are dead wrong!

If we wait until after he parades a weery, graying OBL across the front pages and cable news, any attempt to point to him as a liar will be viewed as sour grapes, and desperate measures by sinking dems.

And you know...they'd probably be right. Because we have the means and the ability to speak out now, to do something now...but the dem canidates are still not running with the proverbial ball.

Come on campaign people...we know you guys read this stuff...pass this along. We are NOT looking for bland "centrist" candidates. That is the RNC telling us what to think. We got fooled by the centrist line by Bush, and we the Nascar Dads Bush is courting were the first to jump on the "Bush and Gore are exactly the same!" bandwagon! So, why not make "Centrist" the same kind of dirty word they've made "Liberal."

Democrats don't want Centrists. Democrats want Democrats. And a LOT of republicans are realizing they do, to, but we are allowing the Fourth Estate to call our plays for us.

1. Here's a thought
Instead of waiting for * to locate the guy, the dems should just pre-empt him. Hire a mercenary force to find the guy. Before * gets his hands on him. LOL!

3. If nothing else,,,
that would prove how easy it would be to find him... either we'd get him or we'd be burying a few more young people. Do 2 wrongs make a right?

4. Considering the attention span of the public at large...
They will have forgotten about 9/11 within a month or two.

Or does forgetfulness only aply to affairs that could potentially harm Bush?

6. Don't think so...
If Bush had the means to do this he would've done it right around the start of Iraq so that there would be no argument that we aren't paying attention to the war on terror. Bin Laden is dead, he was killed at Tora Bora.

7. Bush will have a hard time catching OBL,if he's not already dead.
If he is dead,he was probably killed at Tora Bora.Bringing out proof that he's been dead for two years just before election will do him no good.People will want to know why we weren't told much earlier.

If he's alive,he's surrounded by fanatical loyalists, and he's a hero to many in the Muslim world. He's not a cornered, run to the ground Saddam Hussein.Anyone dropping a dime on OBL for the reward money probably wouldn't live long to enjoy it,and probably would have the sense to know it.

9. I think the top Dem candidates should point this out NOW!
That way when ShrubCo pathetically trots out this "dramatic" October surprise - Dems can minumize the chimp bounce in the polls by saying it was pure manipulation from day one - and we told you about it! EVERYTHING the Bushiviks do is underhanded - and politically motivated and the Dems must take to publicly predicting these totally predictable Rovian moves!
