9/11 Chair: Attack Was Preventable (Why is This Story Getting Buried?)
Edited on Thu Dec-18-03 06:21 PM by Stevendsmith
Why? WHY is this not getting any play today? This is huge. Is any other mainstream news source covering this besides CBS? What the hell? I saw this last night. I woke up eager to see this story in my morning paper (nothing) and on cable news (I was deluged with “Jacko”). I know, the media are Bush-suckling whores, but this is just incredible. Someone, please explain.

9/11 Chair: Attack Was Preventable
NEW YORK, Dec. 17, 2003

For the first time, the chairman of the independent commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks is saying publicly that 9/11 could have and should have been prevented, reports CBS News Correspondent Randall Pinkston.

"This is a very, very important part of history and we've got to tell it right," said Thomas Kean.

"As you read the report, you're going to have a pretty clear idea what wasn't done and what should have been done," he said. "This was not something that had to happen."

Appointed by the Bush administration, Kean, a former Republican governor of New Jersey, is now pointing fingers inside the administration and laying blame.

"There are people that, if I was doing the job, would certainly not be in the position they were in at that time because they failed. They simply failed," Kean said.

1. Rove put out the word ...."don't cover"....run Michael Jackson
When you note the timing of "MJ or SH" you can't help but wonder if "all the world is not a stage"....and we are the pawns.

It's not covered becuase "the media execs" have made a decison to support this "thief in power".

It's not a surprise...corporations own the media.

6. they can't bury it long-
this isn't some one time item that can be buried easily. This is an ongoing investigation that America cares about. If this is Kean's position, than things are just going to get worse for the Bushies.

Pass the popcorn.
