Liddy on Crossfire: Just because *'s commanding officer
didn't see him for an entire year, it doesn't mean that * didn't show up for his last year of guard duty.

Yep.

Heard it here first, folks.

2. Indeed
I tried that same line in High School.

"Just because the teacher didn't see me all semester doesn't mean I skipped class!"

Didn't work.

13. http://www.1510kga.com/showdj.asp?DJID=12330
After two years service as an Army artillery officer during the Korean War, Mr. Liddy entered the FBI as a Special Agent, rapidly earned multiple commendations from the late J. Edgar Hoover and, at age 29, became the youngest Bureau Supervisor at FBI national headquarters in Washington, D.C., where he served during the Kennedy administration.

If G. Gordon Liddy, felon and liar says so, it must be accurate.:P

5. You were in the military.
Is what Liddy said true? That generals can go a whole year without seeing their Captains? Sounds like a LIE to me.

7. Hell no
especially if it's a small unit.

It's not just the commander who didn't see him -- no one else in that unit can remember seeing him.

Plus, there's also the question of lack of a paper trail.

Hand receipts, etc. Every time he either borrowed a jeep, plane, any piece of equipment, he would have had to sign it out.

6. Maybe it's better he wasn't flying planes anyway
After all, he had been heavily drinking and snorting blow. It's best not to fly fighters under those conditions, from what I understand of mach speeds.

8. Maybe he was "disguised" and doing work for the BFEE at that time. That's
what Liddy is insinuating? Little Shrub might have had some "black ops" thingy's that meant no one needed to see him? :D

14. If anything
demonstrates the incestuous nature of the network press establishment, this does.

Here sits G. Gordon Liddy, a convicted criminal who committed numerous crimes against the Constitution and the American people - and who has since instructed his listeners on the best way to murder a federal agent - being massaged and humored by both Crossfire hosts as if he's the belle of the ball. Why isn't Bob "Clinton lied under oath and therefore he's the scum of the earth" Novak worried about Liddy's credibility? And, even more important, why is Paul Begala giggling and yukking it up with Liddy as if he's a brilliant older statesman? You can bet that if Liddy were a left-wing liberal, rather han a right-wing conservative, Novak would NEVER have given this guy a pass, so why are liberals so quick to play kissyface with Republican criminals?

15. If ANYONE belongs in Gitmo it's Liddy
They should lock that sociopath in in cage and throw away the key.

No one who treats him with any respect whatsoever has any credibility with me.

17. My mom rips on Liddy
...with my dad all the time. Dad listens to his show.

I remember Dad saying something like "Well, listen to him quote the bible, chapter and verse."

And my mom said "Well, of course he can quote the bible. That's all you get to read in prison." :)

16. ROVE MUST BE APOPLECTIC
If Dean gets the Nomination - Can we bring up his military history? He didn't serve but bush served dishonorably. Maybe we can get Limbaugh to interview Dean and skewer him about his military service. Whoa, another rove dumb idea. Maybe we can roll out cheney and delay to chat about his military history. Damn!

If Clark gets the Nomination - Do we bring up military history?

If Kerrey gets the Nomination - Do we bring up military history?

And what do we do about that harken thing?

Cheer up my fellow liberals.

20. OK, look in your mirrored stuff, guys and gals.
Bush's commanding officer is on record as saying he would have remembered someone from Texas because he was from Texas.(He DIDN'T say, especially if it was the son of a national politico, but, hey, we can't win 'em all.)

That dog don't hunt, Liddy.

22. The telling thing was that
Bob Novak said "Can we change the subject?" Begala said that proves I won. Liddy and Novak sure didn't have much to say about *'s AWOLness. You gotta hand it to Begala for sticking with this AWOL thing for over three years.

By the way, the reason Paul is nice to Liddy and other Repukes, is that Crossfire is an entertainment show. If it wasn't, there would be no Crossfire.

25. Not just the CO, there has been no one that has come forward
claiming to have seen Bush at the NG unit in Alabama (or in Texas) during the time from May 1972 to October 1973. There is a still unclaimed $1000 reward. Details at the following website:
