Cheney to be prosecuted?
http://www.news24.com/News24/World/News/0,,2-10-1462_1461973,00.html

Paris - A French prosecutor is examining whether to prosecute US Vice President Dick Cheney over alleged complicity in the abuse of corporate assets dating from the time he was head of the services company Halliburton, the French newspaper Le Figaro said on Saturday.

The case stems from a contract by a consortium including the American company Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR), a Halliburton subsidiary, and a French company, Technip, to supply a gas complex to Nigeria, the newspaper reported.

A Paris investigating magistrate has been conducting investigations since October into allegations that $180m were paid in secret commissions during the late 1990s up to 2002 from funds established by the consortium in Madeira, the report said.

Cheney was Halliburton's chief executive between 1995 and 2000.

1. I wonder if he is going to go to jail or pay a fine?
If convicted what will he get jail or will he have to pay a big fine?

4. Is this a US investigation or a French investigation?
Not that it matters because the French can't do anything to Chenney and Bush will just pardon him if its a US investigation.

7. It's a start, but...
I'd like to see Cheney, Chimp, and the rest of the PNAC cabal tried in a UN Court for crimes against humanity.

9. How about trading with the enemy?
Isn't that treason?

As CEO of Haliburton, in 1998, his European subsidies were selling materials and services to Iraq....wasn't Iraq on the US embargo list? Doesn't that make the CEO an enemy of the American people?

Making $24MM in profits while contravening US foreign policy and aiding our enemy seems to fit my definition of treason.
