The "Hubris-Nemesis" Complex Revealed
Don't know if this link to this Rand paper (1994) has ever been presented here for discussion on DU in the past, but I came across it today and was blown away.

Sure appears that playing both sides to the middle didn't rate too high with the author, but can't help but wonder how it is that some folks just can't seem to apply their criteria to what they've obviously taken the time to project onto other "leaders." It's a bit long, and almost a decade old (ain't 20/20 vision grand), but one doesn't have to look too closely to see Shrub's schema (as handled?) being projected onto (guess who?)Saddam, Fidel, et.al. long before the PNAC papers. If indeed pride goeth before the fall, I sure hope this isn't a case of when we win, we lose, no matter.

Hope .pdf extensions not a problem here.

3. This Is Shrub To A "T"
Isn't is interesting that 2 of the 3 "sample" political leaders in this commissioned paper have already "left" their positions of power?

That only leaves Fidel down in Cuba, just waitng for the right "offer" that will benefit Cuba as a whole to come along.

And of course our own pResident who fits the criteria to a "T"! This Rand paper from '94 has to have been carried forward to some higher level and then ignored like all of the other input that this selected resident has received.
