Happy Holidays from OUR Nation's Capitol (pic)
Edited on Sun Dec-21-03 05:00 PM by amen1234

OUR Nation's Holiday Decoration....

after more than TWO years, a new multi-Billion dollar Department of Homeland Security, TWO wars, over $ 100 Billion dollars of OUR taxes taken from OUR schools, medical care, seniors, and needy...

and what have we gotten from the shrub??...NOTHING...the Nation's Capitol is UNSAFE, simply loaded with weapons pointed at innocent Americans....but STILL UNSAFE....

5. xmas really bugs me
Sorry i cant make a post yet. Xmas really bugs me because it has a christian conection. i do like how its becoming more and more secular because it really p***es off those rightwing fasists with santa and all but even the secular christmas is a celebration of capitalism! i feel like were damned if we do and damned if we dont/ one thing that really ought to be banned is christmas lights. how are those things legal to begin with? i thought we has a freedom of religion in this country and every december is the same thing, rightwing fundamentalist coating there house in lights on that side of the street and another rightwing fundamentalists on the other side of the street with a house coated in lights. even people who put up lights because they like them are falling into the capitalist & christian message wheather they know it or. not i hate christmas lights for that message and they burn alot of electricity. all you people are doing is putting money into the hands of Halliburton, Enron, Exxon, and all the other energy companys so you can push your christianity and capitailsim onto everyone and polluting the air of all that are more progressive then you. i know im preaching to the choir (GET IT? THATS A RELIGION JOKE AS IF RELIGION ISNT A JOKE ANYWAY!!!!!HAHAHAH!!!!) but we should enliughten our ignorant neighbors when they blindly go out there to do this.

:hi: :hi:

hey ! I don't do christmas either...it's become a very very anti-Christian holiday (buy buy buy buy buy buy) while homeless people (mostly OUR Veterans!) freeze to death on the DC streets....

buying 'stuff' does NOT make you a Christian or even a Patriot...it just shows how very greedy Americans are....child labor, living in unacceptable conditions, make most of this 'stuff'...Jesus never owned much in His whole life on earth...

sometimes, I leave the country, which is quite refreshing, because ONLY in America is there all this materialism...

other times, I stay and volunteer to help the homeless...it's really sad to see what shrub has done to our great country...but I feel better doing what little I can to alleviate suffering....

reach out and help others....join polical campaigns to defeat shrub...put all your anger into positive actions....

8. Ummm...
Pleanty of liberals are christain as well, so I don't get the point of this. The holidays are actually becoming more secular as lights are strung up by many for New Years as well. Even though there is no official religion in America most Americans celebrate christmas and many others celebrate some other holiday around that time of year. Thus if you don't like it, don't celebrate it.

What pisses me off about christmas is that congress gets to debate bullshit like a constitutional ammendment to ban flag burning that will improve NOBODY'S life in anyway whatsoever, not not finish their appropriations bills, and then go on a month long vacation.
