London calling for draft evaders?
Will the UK accept people who wish to evade the draft?

1. Emigration to England is difficult.

Also difficult to get jobs. Also, England is part of the war effort, doubt that Tony Blair would send the welcome wagon.

On edit: Check out Sweden. they were damned welcoming during Vietnam.

4. immigration into most Eu countries closed off to us
Best way is if you have a parent or grandparent born in Ireland, Britain, or Italy. That will get you in.

Of course, those are not the best countries to emigrate to. That would be the Scandanavian countries plus Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. France is OK. But the only way to get into all those countries is basically marriage.

2. A little early to be worrying about this
I mean be prepared and all that, but we still have the option of working hard and getting some body besides President Bush in. Personally I think that's a better focus.

3. I agree.
The idea that people who won't even take the risk of voting for real change will turn their whole lives over and bang on the sides is just that wee bit unbelieveable.
