A CBS News poll released last month found that half of all registered voters couldn't name even one of the Democratic candidates--nor could 45 percent of those planning to vote in the Democratic primaries.

I must say however, it is more difficult to watch a debate among 9 people than a debate with 2 or 3 participants. By the time everyone addresses the question, I forgot what it was!

I agree that fewer people make a debate easier to follow, but if all they are going to talk about is beauty-contest, fluffy, empty nonsense, it makes little difference how many there are...
