1. Nothing is more amusing than scaring the masses for the holidays
At least that's the mindset of the Bush Administration. Then if there are no attacks, they'll go back to "yellow" and claim it was the upgrade in security threat that averted an attack.

Kinda like that proverbial tree in the forest and no one is there to see it.

which, apparently, they're quite capable of monitoring now. But before 9/11? The "Security pResident" wasn't that much into security, one would think.

3. Keep Bush on peoples's minds over the holidays
You can't trust this group; more than likely, it is a political ploy to scare holiday travelers and, when nothing happens, to remind them to be grateful to their president for their safety. And, the public will buy it.

7. Yes, of course. You see it's all very simple
The Saddam story is indeed an unnecessary bit of ugliness and all, and then there's the unfortunate matter of Tom Kean and his remark that 9/11 could have been prevented. I think he really meant to say it 'should have been prevented." But that is neither here nor there.

So move along. There's nothing to be curious about.

6. The entire "Terror Alert" system is designed to keep people in check.
Much like the hour a day the citizens in 1984 were forced to sit and watch horrific scenes of violence on television. Just not as violent.

Well not yet anyway.

16. In the Soviet Union or Imperial Amerika, about 90 years
(so that leaves us 87 years of Imperial Bushevik Oppression to go...)

In Nazi Germany, approximately 12 years, but I think it would have been closer to 90 had not the Free World (of which Imperial Amerika is no longer a part) risen up to stop Grandpa Prescott Bush's old business partners.

17. Here's The "Official" Reason
"Authorities raised the terrorist threat assessment over the weekend after new intelligence indicated that operatives of Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaida terror network, possibly trained and licensed to fly passenger jets, may now be pilots for some foreign airlines, ideally positioning them to carry out suicide attacks, U.S. officials told NBC News on Monday."

18. Well, if true...that certainly is a danger
The biggest question is: IF True?

That's the problem with having the most corrupt cabal to ever seize power in American History at the helm. How can you believe 'em when they have lied so often about such life-and-death issues, not just your garden variety Blow Job.

19. Because homegrown extremists in the US are making up the chatter
Here's a link to some to the research I've done on this topic. Keep in mind this is just the tip of the iceberg, there are a lot more leads in this rat's nest that I've stepped in that I haven't had the chance to track down yet.
