What is the difference between flip flopping and changing a posistion?
Did Kucinich flip flop on his decision for abortion? I don't think so. He did a re-evaluation of his morals and came to a different perspective. The same if for Gephardt. He was anti-abortion before, but now he is pro-choice.

1. Simple
If any candidate besides Dean changes their position it's called Flip Flop. If Dean changes positions, it's called "evolving"

;)

2. I would think that it is ...
I would think that changing positions after looking at popular opinion, or doing so repeatedly, can be classified as 'flip-flopping'.

Otherwise, most people realize that intelligent people, upon reviewing subject matter, often change their minds.

4. Only Democrats flip-flop
The repugs are the only ones with the "moral clarity" to change their position. See how simple life is?:eyes:

5. Changing positions
is just a flip. Changing them again would be a flip-flop.
It may also be true that having flipped to a less favorable position one could be in the flip-flop zone.
