CNN is making sure that Bush may be on vacation....
But that doesn't mean PRESIDENT Bush taking it easy. PRESIDENT Bush getting regular briefings vis a vis the terror threat. Dana "Will not Bush" Bash went on to tell Souledout O'Brien (who mentioned three times that this is not ONLY a vacation, he's being kept up to date on events) more official White House spin on how leaks may have stopped Al Qaeda from hijacking Air France planes, blah, blah,...

Souledout: "There is PRESIBENT Bush and the FIRST Lady boarding Air Force I, again this is not ONLY a restful vacation, he has aides keeping him up to date on the terror threat."

oh my god...

so blatant, too...

1. The most thoroughly vacationed pResident* we've ever had
Edited on Fri Dec-26-03 09:48 AM by SpiralHawk
He is the master of rest and relaxation -- "prudent recreation" as Poppy Bush liked to call it. One might wonder whether this liberal "time off" tendency is one of the "benefits" of belonging to Skull & Bones -- the secret order that the Bush family is deeply tied into.

If you are a rich patrician like GW Bush*, you can afford 5 or 6 times more vacation that the average American. What the hell, why not? it ain't as if there are a bunch of problems to solve or anything.

* AWOL for over a year while honor-bound by solemn oath to be serving with the Texas National Guard in the 1970s; defeated by a clear majority of patriotic and discerning American voters in the 2000 election; appointed to office by the "legal" system.

4. The elitist "work ethic" ...
These are people who regard country club memberships as 'business expenses' but a factory worker commuting to the job as personal time. These are people who regard a Presidential vacation as a "working vacation" but regard Wal-Mart workers being coerced into working off the clock as "productivity" (and attributable to capital, not labor). These are people incapable of treating others as they treat themselves -- or even forming the thought. They are our nation's long nightmare -- and the 'body politic' is in a coma.

2. How many nights has Bush spent in White House - anybody know if he's the
all-time "winner" - it does not count if the White House was being refurbished as in when Truman was President>

I'll bet somebody out there knows the answer, and I will be curious about it.

3. Does any one here
get months of vacation every year? I get 4 weeks and that is the most out any of my friends. GW takes all of August every year. Then he takes several "smaller" vacations too.

5. He's always on holiday.
In or out of the White House, he doesn't give a shit about what he's supposed to be sworn to do for his country. I laugh my ass off every time I hear him say things like "I'm working hard to..." or "I'll be working hard with the Congress to get this passed...".
