no wonder they were so pissed off. I guess they all knew about the potential for mad cow.

The american method of dealing with the problem seems to be - test very little, don't diagnose the condition, call the many annual cases of it a "rare disease" and don;t allow it to be connected with what it obviously is. And keep lying and assure people its safe.

Remember when this started the excuse was "Its safe, the meat was only sold for pet food".

Now it was shipped to 8 states for ???

and given up french fries in favor of "freedom fries."

2. I was at the grocery store the other day

and I saw this lady buying cans of potted meat. She's probably on a tight budget and that stuff is cheap, but I think that stuff should have warning signs over it or something. I don't think most people realize how serious this is, which is understandable the way the media has sugar-coated the whole thing.
