20. I apologize. Your link was broken and I thought you were saying,
Dean was a disguised repuke.

Forgive for being a jerk.

6. Unless the Conservatives put another candidate up though...
...they will still vote for Bush before they vote for a liberal or Democrat.

7. I believe they will either vote for a centrist like Dean or sit it out
. . . the hatred for Bush is quite evident in the writings of these antiBush Republicans and conservatives. They are looking for a sensible alternative. A good conservative 3rd-party candidate could spell disaster for Bush.

8. centrist?
Karl Rove and all of his media lap dogs are doing all they can to paint Dean as an out-of-touch Yankee liberal who was against the war and is for gay rights. It is sinking in.

11. Huh?
This thread is about problems within the GOP/BushCo mob.

Stuff about candidates should stay in the other area, right?

Let's not muddy the waters of what should be a very positive development.

And if Bush is the candidate, I think many of these people will sit on their hands election day. That can't hurt us, or the country.

16. I wasn't criticizing Dean
I was not criticizing (or promoting Dean) I was saying that even though Dean is a centrist on many issues, the Reich Wing media is doing their best even now to portray him as an anti-war, pro gay rights, far left, out of touch Yankee liberal. They pound it home every chance they get.

I don't have a candidate that is my favorite. To me, it is Anybody But Bush.

9. good site
put up by a man named Brian Youmans, a self-professed GOPer from Boston.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. If more GOPers are heard from maybe the BushCo machine will have to spend some time watching its own flanks. That would be helpful.

10. conservatives against bush ....
Except that I think welfare for those in need, is a good and necessary thing in a civilized society, ... it looks like I agree with the conservatives on the rest of their "about us":

"This President has expanded the welfare state, saddled future generations with debt, eroded some of our basic freedoms, and waged a spurious war in Iraq that in the end did not make the U.S. any safer."

12. Very sweet of the guy to want to correct that Israel support problem.
Deeply surprised DU liberals aren't flocking to his banner.

(And someday I'll tell you how I learned, at 17, on my last day of high school, that I would always vote with the liberals but never turn my back on them, that absolute power will corrupt ANYONE absolutely, and that liberals as well as conservatives have code words for their disguised intolerance.)

Republicans have every reason to loathe Bush, but except for those who will rush to applaud this person's Israel stance, they will never be our reasons.

Still, it's nice to know he has to fight on two fronts.

And to note again that George is LOSING VOTES, not gaining them.

13. I wish one of them would get some b*lls and run against him
If he were being challenged by his own party it would mean curtains for him for sure, just like his daddy.

15. If only...
...there were a right-wing version of Nader to run against Bush. I wonder if Buchanan could be encouraged to run...I think he would siphon a lot of votes off Bush. After all...look at all the people who voted for him in Florida!!! Or so we were lead to believe!

18. If this is real
then it only confirms what I've read before. Chimpy is not gaining support. He has not brought new voters into his fold, in fact he's losing them. His handlers are running scared, hence the spinning you see across the dial on TV.

19. I wonder if McCain doesn't run
which it doesn't look like he is... will these non-Bush Repubs vote for the Dem, stay home, or hold their noses while voting for Bush anyway?
