PATRIOT Act used to snag Rush Limbaugh?
By John Berlau
© 2003 Insight/News World Communications Inc.

It was widely reported as an outrage, a use of the USA PATRIOT Act by the puritanical Attorney General John Ashcroft and his Justice Department to go after a crime that had nothing to do with terrorism.

FBI agents conceded using Title III, the section of the USA PATRIOT Act that covers money laundering, in Operation G-string – an investigation of corruption allegations against a strip-club owner in Las Vegas. The agents used Section 314 to seize the financial records of local elected officials the FBI thought might have taken money from the owner.

Yeah, I know, it's World NetDaily, perhaps the single most right wing biased source on the face of the planet (Faux News notwithstanding). My point is, if this is enough to get the Right Wing pissed off about the Patriot Act, excellent. If this gets Patriot repealed, then fine, let the man with the anal cyst go.

3. You have to read way down in the article to find Rush
and Ed Meese's defense of him as being the target of "prosecutorial overreach." Apparently Uncle Ed appreciates how valuable Rush has been to the radical right, even if Dubya is keeping his hands off.

5. I know, it's a diatribe against Democrats, for the most part
but that one little gem amongst all the bull crap is almost worth taking the time to read the thing.

I hope it's Patriot that got Limpdick. It would do more to get rid of that piece of garbage legislation than anything else. All legislators who voted in favor of that hunk of garbage need to lose their jobs, Democrats as well as Republicans.

4. Given the untrustworthy nature of this Party Sub-Media Rag
It would be quite splendid if it were true.

Didn't those Florida officials get the Busheviks memo that said, "PATRIOT Act actions are only to be taken against Imperial Family Enemies, firends and allies of the Imperial Family are immune."

Or isn't that the kind of thing you can explcitly put in a memo?

Funny to see the last bits of the Old American Republic winding down like a broken clock weakly and ineffectively chiming the hour.

Perhaps we can hope that Pigboy will get some of his own back, but in these days of the degenrate Amerikan Empire, it might be too much to hope for...

I only hope the Feds DID use the PATRIOT Act on Pigboy.
