All Bush Has to Do is Demand the Indentity of the Leaker
This is ludicrous. Is this what Bush meant when he pledged to restore honor and integrity to the White House? Where is the F***ing press on this? Oh, that's right, they're gossiping about Lieberman's hurt feelings and Michael Jackson's confinement in a police station bathroom.

My goodness!

2. You are absolutely right!
Christian Conservative Values. Do the right thing. Set the tone. bush and his apologists and his enablers have a lot to be proud of in this episode. But they have no shame. And don't forget that bizarro world "journalist" bob novak. If you'd like to register your disdane for the man, please log on to www.bustbob.com.

4. You can't make him because he is complicitous in the conspiracy
so he is protected by the Fifth Amendment.

So you have to ask all the people who know but won't tell or who will invoke their fifth amendment privilege.

But either way it looks pretty damn gnarly for them.

Unfortunatelt, nothing will be reolved before the election in 2004.

A report will probably come out after 2004 is stolen (again) by the BFEE - just like Watergate (unless we are very lucky and enough people vote to counter the theft of votes).

6. I doubt that conslusive proof of who the leaker is will every be found.
I base that on the results of previous hunts for leakers in both Dem & rep administrations. Leakers are extremely hard to find. Only two people usually know, the leaker & the reporter, and if neither one talks, then proof is real hard to find. Look how previous administrations have not been able to find leaks.

8. This is not about a "leaker."
This involves a felony committed against a highly placed CIA operative. Most "leakers" are not caught because what they are doing is just business as usual, manipulating the press for personal or political advantage. If those leaks are not fully compliant with the political objectives of those in power, payback comes by way of methods other than criminal investigation and prosecution, which would certainly result in further unwanted disclosures.

Characterizing this as just a typical "leak" is completely bogus, although that is the spin the cabal wants to put on it.

9. Agreed - also, let's 86 the term "outing"...
The traitor didn't "out" an American agent. He BLEW HER COVER. Let's use the language to our advantage, folks.

17. Agreed and lets also make sure W doesn't forget we're at war

This is one of those things that is just to fucked up. People from around the world get sent to Guantanamo, even American citizens get held in navy brigs and denied legal council (luckily the courts are fighting that), but someone who blew the cover of a NOC operative who's job was to make sure terrorists didn't get WMD's is free and walking about, even if 6 so called journalists in DC full well know who the traitor is.

I say that when/if he is finally found, he should be tried for treasons, the US is after all at war (W keeps telling us this all the time atleast), and he blew the cover of an important agent in that war. Then we'll see if Ashcroft is so happy with his death penalty fetish, when it's someone he knows (Rove) and who deserves it, and not just some poor guy who had a drunk defense lawyer...

11. Correct. The CIA finds moles all the time. At least 6 people know
who did this because it was leaked to that many reporters. These folks probably leaked to others. Bottom line is the CIA doesn't mess around with traitors. Their lives often depend on not being outed.

12. And the CIA knows who knows what.
The time frame is very narrow. Somewhere between Wilson's exposing of the usurper's SOTU lies about "Yer anium from Afreeka" and the publication of this info, somebody accessed CIA records about Wilson's assignment and discovered the identity of his wife and her CIA assignments. The investigation doesn't require magical powers, only the cooperation of the CIA, in order to solve the whodunit.

7. It's damning either way.
The press is not letting it go this time. And you can bet our nominee won't let it go.

Bush can't ask for an internal investigation. If they find the two leakers and one of them is Rove, Bush is sunk. If they don't find the two leakers, no one believes they looked very hard. If they find the two leakers and keep it to themselves -- cover-up, perp walks, Armageddon.

If we really want to get the two traitors out of the White House, there is an easy way. Send Bush/Cheney and their whole gang packing. That's sure to work.

15. I sent an article to my friend
who sent me the original Joseph Wilson NY Times piece, which said that all Bush* had to do was pick up the phone. This was months ago and he has yet to do this. It makes me wonder what they have to hide and how much has been hidden in the six months since this story broke. Why isn't the press all over this, demanding answers?! I know the answer to this and it is not only depressing, but scary for our country.
:scared:

16. That would require leadership from *...all we have is a "puppet" in bed
with corporations.

Of course he will say he wants the truth to come out. I guess this means that people in his admin. don't follow his orders and have no respect for him.

Or else...when he says that...he's lying (again).

18. I am encouraged by asscrafts subordinate (comly?)
picking aan AG that does not have to waste time going through security clearance procedures etc. It looks like they want a swift resolution which would allow for this to fade by election time.
By the way, can we make it a point to always site that there are TWO traitors serving in this administartion.
Prediction, rOve resigns and is pardoned. Libby resigns and gets a suspended sentence.
