Death Threat Thread

Ok, I actually started reading that thread thinking the poster was a bit of a troll, maybe. I didn't finish reading it and now I see it's gone and any and all mentions to it are being locked.

I've respected this board and it's administrators up to now. And while I continue to do so I find it increasingly disturbing to see what in my opinion, is an expression of free speech (so long as it does not contain profanity...which I can't attest to since I didn't finish reading it).

The long post I was reading seemed like an explanation of what has happened.

Again, in my opinion, if the Administrators and or moderators feel that they are being wronged by what was being said then should they not post a reply and allow the readers to decide?

Every new thread about this subject that gets deleted puts us a bit closer to those people in the Republican party that we dislike.


MODERATORS/ADMINS:
Please explain the situation so we can all hear both sides of this. While your initial thought may be "this does not concern you", many of us have read the thread (even if it was just partially) and would like to believe that there is no injustice, only a simple or perhaps complicated misunderstanding, BUT, a misunderstanding nonetheless.

but then maybe the original thread should have been moved there, instead of deleted.

Keep in mind we only heard one side of the story, and the mods are often prevented by DU's privacy policy from explaining all the details of their actions.
