BLOWING THE COVER of an American agent...
The leaker didn't "out" someone. He BLEW THE COVER of an American agent, damaging our national security and engaging in TREASON in the process.

Let's use the language to our advantage.

1. An agent who was in charge of a large network
that had been in place for quite a long time. A network that we desperately need at this time for intelligence gathering.

5. Intelligence on the proliferation of WMDs
This is the most important matter that seems to conveniently be ignored.

8. Hmm...
If we never illegally invaded Iraq under false pretenses:

1) We'd never had a crucial intelligent agent outed (Valerie Plame)who was a key figure in the CIA in stopping the spread of WMD.
2) We would not have lost now nearly 500 young men & women and $150 billion+ in money.
3) We would not have had the enmity of most of the world against us.
4) We likely would not have had to take all our key intel people out of the hunt for bin Laden and we most likely would have caught him and his #2 by now.
5) We would not be worrying, as Donald Rumsfeld and many others are, that we are creating more terrorists than we're stopping...
6) We would likely not be under our current Orange Alert where we are told that we're at more risk than at any time since 9/11/01.

Yes, we're much safer now that we've invaded Iraq and caught Saddam.

4. I was very surprised to see, in a Yahoo article today that the "leaker"
would be charged with a FELONY. Since when is treason a felony?

The article said, "The leaker could be charged with a felony if identified."

What's up with that?

7. I agree! So what is being done about it?!
This administration has dragged its feet on this for over six months! It's about time that someone did something, but why the delay? I fear that the evidence may have been deep-sixed.:-(

10. Two people are guilty of Treason.
Plame was working on the relationship between WMD and terrorists.
How the hell can we reconcile the damage these TWO traitors have advanced?
Please do not lose focus on the fact that there are two who have conspired to commit Treason against Our Country. And several 'journalists' who did not report the commision of a Federal crime.

11. The latest spin
Is that she was retired, just a desk jockey, so it didn't hurt anybody.

They haven't answered why, exactly, "outing" her would have any effect, then.
