LA Times: Soldiers complain that stop-loss = Return of a DRAFT per se
More evidence the DRAFT will return if Bush is re-selected:

Extended Iraq Duty Expected for More Troops

To stem an exodus of personnel, the Army may prohibit additional soldiers in crucial units from retiring, leaving when enlistment ends or being reassigned.

By Esther Schrader, Times Staff Writer

...Since it began instituting the stop-loss orders two years ago, the Army has blocked the retirements and departures of more than 40,000 soldiers, about 16,000 of them National Guard and reserve members. Hundreds more in the Air Force, Navy and Marines were briefly blocked from retiring or departing the military last year...

Already, by preventing soldiers from leaving the Army at retirement or the expiration of their contracts, military leaders have breached the Army's manpower limit of 480,000 troops set by Congress...

But senior Army officials have been complaining for more than six months that the Army needs to grow to handle its burgeoning commitments in an age of global terrorism...

But the practice is deeply controversial within the military. Some soldiers have complained it amounts to a reinstitution of the draft.

1. Maybe this is what it takes to finally get the American people ANGRY
...And maybe this is what it takes to get them to finally PAY ATTENTION to the Neo-Cons, PNAC, and what the government has really been doing in our name all this time.

If Bush isn't ousted this year, he will almost certainly take his re-installment as an endorsement for "Pax Americana" and reinitiating the draft. However, once the people are forced to awaken to what is really going on, they will almost certainly erupt into a massive uprising not seen since the 1960s. The end result of this could very well cut his second term short and totally destroy the GOP.

But I'm still counting on the Dems taking back the Whitehouse and Congress THIS year. I'd rather not see another revolution in my lifetime.
