Just e-mailed O'Reilly
One of the other threads about Fox News on WMD's gave me the idea. Here's what I sent:

Mr. O'Reilly,

How soon can we expect your apology to the nation and a declaration that you no longer trust the Bush Administration? I am of course referring to your quote from Good Morning America on March 18, 2003, where you said:

"If the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush Administration again, all right?"

Many Americans look to you as a man of integrity and trustworthiness, and it is disheartening to see that orders from men like Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes can stop you from keeping your promise while putting your fine reputation in jeopardy. Mr. O'Reilly, we need you to stand up for the little guy and hold those in the Bush Administration who lied to the American people accountable. If Murdoch and Ailes don't like it, just tell them to shut up or you'll take your show somewhere else.

Thank you for your time,
Shawn Robinson

1. Nice one
I remember on his radio show about 3 months after the start of the war, he was saying that he'd give the search for WMD about another 3 to 6 months, but if they hadn't been found by then, then he'd "start to ask some questions" OWTTE.

It's about time he started asking the questions.

2. You'll get no reply, but thanks for the post
I am sure you don't expect one from the blowhard hypocrite O'Reilly, who takes situational ethics to entirely new levels. O'Reilly likes his cash first; integrity? Let's just say it is well down the list. To make his cash, he has to "spin" for Fox News, and that means cheerleading for the Bush Administration. You got him, but he will just ignore you. Send it to Al Franken or Michael Moore; it's good stuff.

3. He ripped into some guy for e-mailing him something from FAIR didn't he?
Seems like I remember reading that in Franken's book, where he told him to stay off the left-wing websites...

5. He Keeps Extending the Deadline for Apologizing
3 months, 6 months. What's he doing to do when KAY splits. He's such a pathetic wingnut, and so self-deluded about his "independence".

7. I have e-mailed O'Reilly on several occasions...
never once, did I get a reply, not even an auto-responder!

I suspect he is realizing that the "no-spin" zone, has spun out.

He, like all of the neo-con cowards, spout from the hip, but can NEVER back up what they say. I have never seen one of these RW 'pundits' walk where they say they will if the stuff hits the fan. Cowards and blowhards, one and all.

You know he's not going to answer or even read your email on the air. The emails he reads are all invented. You can observe glaring similarities in their style or how preposterous some of them are (I don't care whether they vote for LePen or the Communist Party, no Frenchman would call Fox News a spin-free channel). There's also the idiocy of him telling emailers who flatter him that they'll send him a book. How the hell can he send them a book when he tells emailers to only put their name and city of residence?

edit: What you should do is email some well-known people on our side of the fence on this issue. Maybe you should send it to someone on CNN like Paul Begala because of the cable news wars.

14. O'Reilly will not say anything
Over the months since O'Reilly made his pledge on GMA, he has, every couple of months, given Bush more time to tell us about the WMD issue. The last time I heard O'Reilly mention the issue (sometime in Sept. or October of last year) he was giving Bush until 2004 to answer, and I think the time frame he used was by November 2004.
