Here are my answers. They are mine, not what I think any candidate would consider.
1. I wouldn't eliminate any Federal Department, but I would make it more difficult for lobbyists to have undue influence when it comes to the management/regulations of the department. I'd also stop the 'revolving door' which allows for govt. officials to go immediately to work in the industries they used to regulate, and then return to govt. when Administrations change.
2. The significant national problem that is none of the Federal Government's business is the regulation of civil unions/ marriages. That should be left to each state. (This, I believe, is also Howard Dean's position)
Please let us know what the FR people say. It will be interesting to find out if there is any consensus.
