Co-workers talking about lobbying for Faux News on office TVs.
:puke:

Watch me go ballistic if they succeed! I work in a telecom building, and we keep tabs on the news, since any disaster or other major event causes the phone network to shift around. I suppose it's important to have TVs on all the time here.

We now have CNN, which is bad enough, but I will refuse to work if I'm exposed to FAUX Snooz for 8 hours a day. It's one thing to have an obvious Republican bent to the news, and another to have actual blatant hatred for Democrats...in a union shop of all things!

I should lobby for the BBCAmerica.

1. Get a bell and ring it everytime you hear a spin or a lie
That will get them to turn it back.

Actually I watch it a lot because it is the funniest thing on TV. Unfortuneately some people think it is the truth.

4. love it
a truly great idea. I think the 'bell' idea could get wings in a number of different contexts.

6. I don't think that would work unless they have a job a town crier.
That bell would be ringing constantly.

2. A Union Shop, You Say?
Where is the Union in all of this?

It seems to me that if there is a need to have a TV on in order to keep tabs on the news, then all the folks at your company really need is the video -- and not the audio.

Certainly, if your union (and its memebership) have reall strong feelings about the appropriateness of listening to FoxNews, then one way to resolve this potential conflict would be for the Union to say that TV's that are tuned to FoxNews will have the volume turned way way down.

5. The sound is off on most of them.

But there's a few people who listen while they work. It's not for me, just for my paternalistic attitude that some people will be unduly influenced by the Corporate Pravda. I already got 35 potential petitioners ready to pounce should they start talking about it.

These two blowhards were just talking, but I woulldn't put it past them to try and lobby the building folks. Yes, they are Union too.:eyes:

EDIT: Imagine seeing Judy Woodruff's whore face every noon when it's lunch time.:scared:
