Bailey (725kg Buffalo) Lives In House - Likes To Watch TV

THE descendants of the few buffalo that survived the slaughter of millions during the 19th century mainly live on ranches and farms. But Bailey, a four-year-old, 725kg bison, prefers life indoors.

He's the beloved pet of Canadians Jim and Linda Sautner, who keep him in their home at Spruce Grove, near Edmonton, Alberta.

"My wife wouldn't let me bring my German shepherd puppy into the house one day, so I got even by bringing Bailey in," Mr Sautner jokes.

"He's made a mess on the carpet a couple of times, so now we bring out an ice-cream pail whenever he gives us that look."
