so I directed my curses at Truman State University IT. The network crashes periodically.

and this week's paper got done in record time.

I'm in the middle of a major spring cleaning. So I did a lot of that.

Plus I spent more time at a Johnny Depp fan site. We have a book club. Up next: HST's The Rum Diary, starting on 4/15, which I still have to get and read. :7

And yeah, uh... I'm embarrassed to say how much I hit "Refresh.... dammit"

DU was down, but so was/is Bartcop Forum. I had my tinfoil hat and skivvies on. DU is back, but Bartcop Forum isn't.

I was about ten minutes from emailing you. We have been through that drill before, when DU was down.

I knew they would be back.

scanning through pages and pages of winger sites whining about DU, hoping to find sites where our members too refuge.

I did check out a couple other places, such as smirkingchimp and one that remains nameless, but the action just was not nearly the same!

many winger sites there are that seem to do nothing but whine and complain and bitch about DU?

I saw one today that called us "far-left loonies who belong on Mars" because of LIHOP and other "sick propaganda" as they called it. I thought it was funny as hell, guess we must be doing something right if there are so many wingnut sites devoted to complaining about us!

My brother and sister-in-law were coming for the afternoon. We had to finish cleaning, buying and cooking. Plus, a crew is painting the house and repairing the porch. When we finally came upstairs for the evening, I discovered the horrid truth! And I missed it...

Until this thread, I didn't know DU was down. I just that it was this crappy computer at work b/c every site I went on took 999 minutes to upload.

In truth, I was very put out. DU has become part of my getting home from work ritual, and I do not let my family speak to me when I am doing this DU therapy, unless they are bleeding. If they are choking, on the other hand, they know the universal sign for "I can't fucking breathe, do you think you could help?".

And, if I'm in the middle of a good DU read, I really have to consider the request.

yet another . Took both dogs for a walk with 3 kids
age 7, 8, and 9 . did some bike and scooter repair .
Vacuumed, swept and watered the front yard .

Pooper scooper detail for two dogs . Stopped one
civil war in my front yard over who gets the first turn
on a swing. Hydrogen Peroxide on one toe and one calf
on 2 of the 3 kids .

Went to pharmacy twice, once to drop off a prescription
and then again later to pick it up. Made Breakfast, Lunch
and Dinner for 5 people . Fed and watered the dogs and
hermit crabs .

SPRING BREAK arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

and then five days for Easter break. You have my empathy. Today is the first quiet day in quite a while and of course I have a ton of writing to do. Oh well. But no one is asking me to watch while yet another virutal building is destroyed as Spiderman swings by!

bees telling me to hurry up and make more things bloom

am pleasantly tired tonight

But I missed all the evilDUers and was in a mild panic at the thought that DOJ had shut us down. Figure it is just a matter of time.

did laundry, packed, took a nap, and then drove from Greenville to Austin. Whee fun. :)

I put Air Am on the computer and started working. Around two hours before time to go home my in-basket was empty and I was wondering what to do.

God I hope that never happens again!!

and we'd never be able to communicate with each other again, called my sis in a panic to see what she knew but she wasn't home, began making plans to move to Costa Rica. Then fortunately it was time to go to work- (by this time I'd taken a xanax and at least didn't quit my job since my company has no offices in Costa Rica....God...don't ever let this happen again)!!!!!

some people may do that while they're on DU.

...Except the housework, obviously.
