hot damn, emacs just got cheaper and faster!

Now with 1.25 G4,s aTi 9200 video graphics card--still at 32 MB VRAM, but this one is faster than the previous moel. I also think faster memory. No more 128 versions, both now have 256 standard.

And the best part of all? The Superdrive eMac is now $999 :bounce: bump it to 512 Mb RAM, about $1074 before sales tax and shipping.

Damn good deal if you ask me.

4. In honesty

My current iBook does exactly what I wanted it for. Small, simple, transportable, wireless.

What it lacks is high speed GPU abilities for games. But for that I prefer a desktop with a larger screen anyway. So my next "machine" will be upgrades to my PC desktop to improve it's pure gaming abilities. So I'll want the iBook for things like posting to DU while sitting on my couch.

Nice to know there's a market, though. :)

They're called J-o-k-e-s.

Mac users take a beatin' in Billy Gates' world, we tend to be very brand-loyal. And there's always a PC user telling us how much faster/cheaper/better PC's are (if we will just sign on name in blood on the dotted line)...

is that here we have Apple, a corporation that artificially keeps high prices and threw out its real brains, Steve Wozniak, onto the curb.

And you can build a PC from cheap, generic parts that don't feed monoliths like Gateway or Dell, but still, it's the PC users who are sellouts.
