3. Annie Lennox touring with Sting this summer
I've got tickets to see them in October in Concord, CA.

I can't wait to see her.

Bare is a remarkable piece of work from Annie.

7. saw 'em both!
I saw The Eurythmics at the Tower Theatre in Philly in the early 80's.

I saw Bo Diddley at the Central PA Festival Of The Arts ("The Penn State
Arts Fest") in 1987. I got Bo's autograph on a State College Parking Ticket
(he wrote "Rock On! Bo Diddley").

 to both!

and I NEVER liked the Eurythmics. I voted the Eurythmics.

Bo, in two of the three appearances was a complete asshole. Spent most of the time bitching at the crowd about one stupid thing or another. The first time I excused it, the second time it was apparent he took his importance for the decades long repitition of a simple cord progression a tad too serious.

The last time, he did a 20 minute jam in 50 minutes set on his great hit - "Kids, Don't do drugs". A horribly misinformed and acted out D.A.R.E. commercial in pseudo rap. Never mind that we were in a nightclub which didn't have a soul under 30 in it. Most of the rest of the set was a local backing band jamming with him singing, rarely ever playing the box guitar.

The first time I saw him he played a bluesy club in Chicago. He spent most of the time bitching about how the airplane made his voice dry and how he couldn't sing. Seems he couldn't play either, the backing band did most of the work - sometimes he'd bark out Bo Diddley, strum two or three cords, and then nod off.

9. lol
lot's of bitchin'-that guy's in pain is one possible explanation...lol
I always ignore personalities and just get into the music because of the fact that musicians are other than what they seem from image and sound...lol

11. Agreed - that is why I gave him three chances
because even if he only has one chord progression in 40 years - I love it. However, after shelling out a lot of money for travel and tickets (and beer) there was little music to get into. 3 friggin times.

I agree, he may have some physical aliments. 20 years worth? Maybe he should consider putting a stop to the touring and avoid spreading the joy.

12. I don't yet have enough posts to make a poll. . .
but if I could, I'd make a most ridiculous poll (poll).

This poll would be at the top. Can you possibly qualify why you would ever make such a comparison?

"apples and oranges" truly. Or were you just taking a poll to see which CD you should play. . .? Too funny really.

15. That's a rather odd combination! Or was that the point?
In any case, the Eurythmics did maybe half-a-dozen songs that I like. My Bo Diddley favorites, on the other hand, number well into the dozens! So guess who I picked?
